Michael really liked Big Bird... until he got up close

We put up a lot of decorations for the party. We wanted it to be a special day and it was also the first time we had people over at the new house.

Michael's First Birthday Party!

It's the Easter Bunny! Maybe one day he will be afraid of these characters in the mall, but so far he's only been amused by them.

Michael driving a Big Red Car. A two year old tried to carjack Michael, but showed him who was boss by grabbing him by the hair and yanking his head down... Definitely gets that from his mother!

Michael playing with the world's biggest tic-tac-toe set.

Michael playing with a big turtle... All the toys there are really soft, perfect for tots!

Here's Michael playing at the Oakridge Mall near our house.

And finally, here's the finished product! I could not believe how much older he looked with his haircut...

Here's Michael getting his haircut. I sat with him while it was cut. He was very good, only getting a lttle upset when the hairdresser used clippers. His mom and I were very proud of him!

One of the first things we had to do after moving was get Michael his first haircut. This is just before he got his locks cut off. Notice the serious look -- he knew something was up.

Enough pictures of the house! Here's a picture of Michael just after we moved in.

Here's our pool in the backyard. Ohh I can't wait until it finally stops raining and warms up!

Here's what you see when you first walk in our house: A big purple wall with an arch leading to the dining room and Michael, Jr. running around like a madman.

Here's our new house in San Jose. Important thing to notice here is that it is one story. That is very important when you have a toddler!

Pictures from San Jose

This is my photo blog. It's my latest way to share pictures with friends and family across the country. I should probably call it Michael, Jr.'s Photo Blog, since it will be mostly pictures of him.

We moved from Concord to San Jose at the beginning of March. This was a really big deal for me since I work in Sunnyvale. My commute has gone from 1 hour 15 minutes to 20 minutes. It's hard to describe what a big difference that makes!
